Established in 1958, the Kansas City Automotive Recyclers Association has served as a local trade association for the used automotive parts recycling industry. Our members are dedicated to the efficient removal and resuse of automotive parts, and the safe disposal of inoperable motor vehicles. KCARA services members in the states of Missouri and Kansas located in the Kansas City metropolitan area and several outlying counties on both sides of the state line.

KCARA objectives are to further the automotive recycling industry through various services and programs to its members, increase the public awareness of the industry's role in conserving the future through automotive recycling and to foster awareness of the industry's value as a high quality, low cost alternative for the automotive consumer. KCARA encourages aggressive environmental management programs to assist member facilities in maintaining proper management techniques for fluid and solid waste materials generated from the disposal of motor vehicles.
